General Conditions

1. What Competitions are being held?

The Portuguese Pigeon Fanciers Federation organises the following competitions on the same day:

·         FCI Grand Prix of Portugal 
(Competition intended for the individual participation for pigeon fanciers of registered in Federations belonging to the FCI).
 

·         World Championship.
(Competition intended for national teams representing FCI countries).
 

·         World Youth Championship 
(Competition intended for national teams representing FCI countries).

2. Pigeon reception date?

The pigeons must be delivered between 15^th March and 15^th May 2017.

3. How old should the pigeons be at the time of delivery?

At the time of delivery, the pigeons should not be younger than 30 days nor older than 45 days of age.

4. Should the pigeons be vaccinated beforehand?

The pigeons should be vaccinated against Paramyxovirus (Newcastle didease) 10 to 15 days before the shipping date. Certificates of the veterinary must be sent. (Please specify the date of vaccination and the vaccine used).

5. How to send the pigeons from overseas?

• If you intend to send the pigeons by plane, please follow these steps.

a) Send, by fax or e-mail, the AIR WAYBILL(AWB), list with identification of all the pigeons, a copy of the health certificates and an invoice with the note “No Commercial value” and a declaration of donation to the Portuguese Pigeon Fanciers Federation.
Important: Send the original documents with the cargo (pigeons) 
 
b) Send the pigeons to the following destination:

Aeroporto Sá Carneiro - Porto - Portugal
Note: The pigeons should not arrive on weekends because customs are closed on these days. 

• As an alternative, the pigeons may be delivered to the company.

• The Agents will be posted on the FPC website (www.fpcolumbofilia.pt) as soon as possible.

6. Which documents should be sent with the pigeons?

·         Pedigrees + Owner card + Certificate of the veterinary

7. Miscellaneous

·         The FPC will keep continuously updated information at www.fpcolumbofilia.pt;

·         All participating pigeons are considered property of the FPC, which will have authority to decide about their future;

·         The organisation accepts no liability for loss of pigeons, accident or illness that prevents their participation in the trainings or in the final race. There shall be no refund of registration fees;

·         Pigeons without pedigree or whose pedigree does not correctly identify the source of the pigeons will be penalised 50% of prizes earned and will not be entitled to any reimbursement in the amount of the sale of their pigeons in auction.

Attention: All the participants must provide their mobile phone number in the registration form so that we can send text messages with relevant information about Mira OLR 2017

Training Calendar

1. CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION

• The event is open to all countries but the pigeons must wear an approved official ring from the Federations belonging to the FCI.
   
• When a fancier cannot send pigeons to the one loft race due to international restrictions, he can still participate by sending rings that are registered in his own country to be rung on pigeons breed in the country were the race will be held.

2. REGISTRATION

• The entry fee per pigeon is € 100 (one hundred euros);

• For each team of 10 pigeons, 1 extra pigeon may be sent for free;

• Each team will have a maximum of 12 pigeons;

• Pigeon fanciers can group together by choosing a team name; 
   
• In case of participation in multiple teams, they must be identified (Team A, Team B...); 
   
• Once the teams are formed, the transfer of pigeons between teams will not be allowed; 
   
• All pigeons registered in the FCI Grand Prix of Portugal compete for all awards; 
   
• Upon registration, the bank details for the transfer of any prizes, as well as telephone contacts and e-mail address, should be provided; 
   
• Entries will only be considered complete upon receipt of payment for the registration fee; 
   
• Registration may be paid by cash, check or bank transfer, in the latter case with expenses paid by the sender;

3. RANKINGS AND AWARDS (BASED ON PARTICIPATION OF 1.500 PIGEONS)

Awards tables apply for a maximum contribution of 1.500 pigeons. If entries do not attain 1.500 pigeons, the awards will be recalculated with the number of paid subscriptions.

3.1 GENERAL INDIVIDUAL RANKING

• An individual ranking for the SEMI-FINAL and another for the FINAL will be carried out;
• The SEMI-FINAL is the longest competition before the FINAL competition.

3.1.2 OVERALL INDIVIDUAL RANKING AWARDS - SEMI-FINAL AND FINAL

According to the established in point 3 of the regulation of the Grand Prix of Portugal, the prizes were meant to a minimum participation of 1500 pigeons. Under this regulation, the prize table was recalculated based on the 1196 pigeons entered, becoming effective the following values:
